Brave Change Works LLC began with a trip I took in Vietnam in 2017.

I traveled to a small island off the southern coast of Vietnam called Côn Sơn. I was looking for rest. I found instead a transformative idea that would form Brave Change Works. 

I discovered a complicated history on the island:  past alliances between the colonized and colonizers and histories of conflict between nationalists and loyalists. On the island, a historic facility stood where dissidents of civil and international war were kept and killed. Instead of bitterness and rancor, the Vietnamese islanders were at peace. 

They had transmuted their past into the belief that a better future was possible. They had turned conflict into a commitment to a different way and turned pain into possibility. 

I founded Brave Change Works to honor the experiences that allow clients to transmute difficulty into learning and leadership opportunities. I'm trained in the fields of conflict resolution and organizational change and I use these frameworks to help clients find safety from the storms of their personal or organizational lives.
